You can do them in German or English

The rallies are wheelchair accessible

There are no additional costs for visitors to the zoo, no pre-registration required

Opening event of the special exhibition “Iridescently beautiful”

Nature is full of colors, not all of which are based on dyes. Some color impressions are only created by the structure of the surfaces. Depending on the incidence of light, iridescent color effects are created. Luminous butterflies and iridescent beetles have also inspired Augsburg photographer Thomas Büchsemann to take razor-sharp macro shots.

At the opening event of our special exhibition, you can find out how many individual steps are behind a single photograph live and directly from the professional himself. In addition, Prof. Nicolas Vogel from the Chair of Particle Technology (LFG) at FAU will explain how his team produces colorful, shiny rainbow chocolate. Of course you can also try it!

Champagne, snacks, chocolate and a dazzlingly beautiful special exhibition await you. There are no additional costs for visitors to the zoo.

When: June 13, 2024, 3:00 p.m.
